Judie Rothermel created AUNT GRACE'S GARDEN PARTY as a tribute to her aunt's love for gardening. An avid gardener, Aunt Grace loved flowers in particular, and belonged to the local garden club to share her love of flowers and companionship with other ladies. Flowers and quilters seem to go hand in hand, both being artistic outlets of creative women.

The BOM design highlights Vicki's creative appliqué & piecing techniques, done in horizontal rows that represent flowers in the garden. Quilters will learn and utilize two methods of appliqué, bias vines and English paper piecing (with all paper pieces included in the pattern.) Unlike typical BOM's, each month's featured block will be made in several different fabrics to comprise a complete horizontal row. The result is a cheery arrangement that Judie hopes will inspire all Aunt Grace enthusiasts to plant flower gardens of their own!

Classes will be held the last Saturday of each month, starting January 28, 2012.

Class time is 9:30. Kit fee is $35.00 per month.
